The Former Camarillo State Mental Hospital

Today I ventured out to Camarillo State Mental Hospital to poke around to see what was left to possibly investigate. I started out at my normal favorite "hot spot" when I noticed a couple of doors wide open. There was no one to be found, so I went inside to see what I could capture on audio. The old hallways in the wards were dark and dreary yet peaceful at the same time. I think to myself "If only these walls could talk."  I went room by room to see what I could find. This was after all my first time being inside this particular unit/ward. I found a barber shop, dorms that were for children, and a therapy tub. I also had a couple of experiences where I heard mysterious noises as I asked questions during my EVP session.

As I was saying It was pretty peaceful in the buildings today. I didn't feel any oppression except in a couple of spots. I did feel the presence of a man following us around as if he were curious. I experienced a few cold spots as well. It is amazing to me how active this location remains after 70 plus years!
